Super-charging enforcement: center for client safety partners with americans united for life

Since its founding in 2020, the Center for Client Safety (CCS) has been pioneering a new model of accountability in the post-Roe era. While pro-life laws to protect women and children exist in many states, those laws mean nothing if they are not enforced. All too often, they are not. In addition, because vice cannot be practiced virtuously, abortion facilities many times operate in violation of many other laws, as well.

Abortion businesses have operated with little oversight for far too long, putting women at risk and sidestepping rules that every other medical provider must follow.

CCS was created to hold the abortion industry accountable. By investigating abortion industry violations, equipping local partners to gather and document evidence, and pressing state and regulatory authorities to act, CCS has already driven tangible results: abortion facility closures, license revocations, and new safeguards that protect women and children.

Now, CCS is taking its impact to the next level by joining forces with Americans United for Life (AUL). This partnership brings CCS’s investigative expertise together with AUL’s long-standing leadership in law and policy to ensure that evidence of wrongdoing leads to accountability and legal change.

Why Enforcement Matters

The fall of Roe v. Wade did not end the abortion industry; it made enforcement more urgent than ever. Today, many abortion providers are exploiting legal loopholes, ignoring health and safety rules, and flooding communities with dangerous chemical abortion pills with minimal oversight.

In many cases, the laws designed to protect women and children are simply not being enforced. Regulators look the other way. Agencies lack the evidence or will to act. Women are left vulnerable, and dangerous practices continue unchecked.

CCS exists to change that reality. Our strategy is simple but powerful:

  • Investigate: Identify violations and gather evidence that meets regulatory and legal standards.

  • Equip: Train and support local allies—pregnancy resource centers, sidewalk counselors, and whistleblowers—to recognize, document, and report violations.

  • Enforce: Persistently press state boards, agencies, and law enforcement to act on the evidence, closing facilities, revoking licenses, and holding abortion businesses accountable.

Results That Save Lives

This partnership is already proving its power.

In Wyoming, CCS uncovered that an abortion business had opened by exploiting a loophole in state law. Rather than meeting the requirements for a licensed surgical center, it claimed to be a simple “physician’s office.” Inside, women suffered serious complications and, instead of calling ambulances, staff put them in private cars and drove them to hospitals. CCS documented these abuses and filed complaints with regulators.

At the same time, attorneys with AUL worked with Wyoming legislators crafting legislation to close this loophole and prevent other abortion providers from exploiting it in the future.

The result? The facility was shut down for weeks, and the loophole was permanently closed. That dangerous business now faces likely permanent closure, and future facilities cannot exploit the same gap.

While CCS specializes in building airtight investigative cases, AUL has spent decades shaping and defending laws that protect life. Together, we will ensure that abortion businesses violating the law face accountability and that there is lasting change in the law itself.

The Next Frontier: Chemical Abortion

Perhaps the most urgent challenge ahead is the rapid rise of chemical abortion. Pills are being shipped into states across the country with little oversight, creating opportunity for coercion, trafficking, and medical harm. Women are often left alone to face dangerous complications, and there is virtually no system to track or prevent abuses.

CCS and AUL will be leading the charge against the threat of chemical abortion.

Your Role in This Mission

The abortion industry thrives in the shadows when laws are unenforced, when regulators look away, when no one is documenting the harm. CCS exists to shine a light, gather the facts, and push for real accountability.

This new partnership with AUL ensures that our evidence leads to change not just in one facility, but across states and even the nation. But none of this is possible without the support of those who believe that women deserve protection, children deserve life, and laws deserve enforcement.

We invite you to stand with us. Your support empowers investigators, equips whistleblowers, and fuels the pressure that drives enforcement. Together, we can shut down dangerous abortion businesses, hold the chemical abortion industry accountable, and protect women and children nationwide. Your gifts to the Center for Client Safety will continue to power our work investigating abortion facilities and ensuring accountability.

The Center for Client Safety was founded to ensure that women are protected and lives are saved by holding abortion providers accountable to every law. By joining forces with Americans United for Life, we are turning that mission into a movement, one that will bring real accountability to an industry that has evaded it for far too long.
